Kim has a doctorate in Psychology and has experience tutoring IB Psychology. She also has an undergraduate degree in English Literature and taught English and Media Studies in a London secondary school, before going abroad to teach IB English and Theory of Knowledge at an international school in Italy.
Jennifer is an experienced Primary practitioner with a student centred approach to tuition which involves creating curiosity for the subject as well as building pupils' confidence in order to achieve success. Jennifer believes in discussing progress with the student at regular intervals to identify misconceptions and next steps and thereby allowing students to take charge of their own learning.
Though Sarah is well aware that many people do not share her innate love of Mathematics, she is convinced that anyone can enjoy studying it. She prides herself on making lessons accessible, personable and tailored to the needs of the learner and has a proven track record of enabling pupils to achieve their highest potential.
Claire is a qualified teacher with 14 years of experience, having obtained her teaching certificate from the University of Cambridge in 2004. She taught in primary schools in the Cambridge area for several years, before working for VSO, conducting professional development activities for teachers in Malawi, East Africa.
My approach is one of flexibility where I will adapt my methods to the needs of learners. Ultimately, the role of a tutor has to be to ensure learners develop problem-solving skills by understanding the approach needed and not simply answer questions with steams of knowledge and textbook facts.
