Kevin has 35 years' experience teaching Maths to students from age 11 to 18, all abilities and up to A-level Maths and A-level Further Maths.
He has been in turn the Co-ordinator for KS4 (GCSE)Maths, Co-ordinator for Numeracy and Co-ordinator for KS5 (A-level) Maths at secondary school since 1994. He has organised, marked and moderated GCSE Mathematics coursework. Kevin has examined for A-level, and contributed to the new specification for A-level Mathematics and its specimen exam questions. He has excellent results and feedback from his teaching and tuition work, ranging from students who need numeracy help, to those aiming for the top grades at A-level and GCSE. Kevin is good at inspiring confidence in students, encouraging them to realise they can solve problems for themselves.
He is interested in wildlife, astronomy and maths (of course!) and loves reading. Kevin is an archer, shooting a recurve bow at his local club. He also makes a range of nest boxes (for blue tits, sparrows, owls, bats, etc.) and hedgehog hibernation boxes, and helps with wildlife surveys and transects in the Peak District where he lives.
Kevin is available for online tuition to students anywhere in the world. Find out more about online tuition.
Kevin, like all of our tutors, is a qualified teacher and has been interviewed by us personally. All of our tutors have at least two years of classroom teaching experience and come with fantastic references and criminal records checks.
