Having taught Spanish and French for two years at a secondary school in South London, Imogen was promoted to Acting Head of Spanish upon completion of her NQT year. During this time she identified the need for and led successful interventions supporting high ability students as well as those with special educational needs to achieve the best possible grades. She then went on to teach in various primary schools around London.
During her year abroad at University she was a private English tutor for an eleven-year-old girl attending a prestigious International school in Madrid. She delivered exciting and engaging lessons to challenge, support and encourage her tutee.
She is an inspiring, creative and enthusiastic tutor and thoroughly enjoys working with children and young people. She has the ability to build strong relationships quickly enabling her to personalise learning, address specific needs and build self-confidence.
Imogen attended Alleyn’s School, Dulwich and left with A-levels in Maths, Spanish and Psychology. She then went on to Newcastle University to study Spanish, Latin American Studies and Psychology. After graduating she trained to be a teacher under the Teach First Leadership Development Programme and qualified as an outstanding practitioner from the Institute of Education. She has recently completed a Psychology Master’s degree gaining a distinction and now hopes to become an Educational Psychologist. She is currently working as a link worker at a school in West London, providing further opportunities for children who could benefit the most.
She enjoys yoga and the theatre and is passionate about travelling. During recent travels, she spent 6 months teaching English in a primary school in Mexico.
