Although semi-retired, Tony is keen to do more than just the housework and is enthusiastically furthering his already significant teaching skills in tutoring students toward examination success. He has a proven track record of successful practice in both Economics (IB and AL) and Mathematics (IGCSE – MYP -School entrance) in a range of international and British schools across the world. He also possesses a PGCE in Economics/Mathematics and has Masters degrees in both Education Development and Economics from the London University Institute of Education and Essex University.
In Tony's case at least experience is not synonymous with burnout and he continues to be a lively, conscientious and compassionate tutor with an ability to instil a sense of purpose and perseverance in his students. Living in numerous countries, together with a sound knowledge of international education has also made him confident of collaborating with those who live in complex multi-cultural communities and who need help adapting to the language and customs of an international school, curriculum - its values and objectives.
Tony is well aware of the reluctance some might have in employing someone aged 64 for a teaching or tutoring position which will inevitably be both strenuous and challenging. He is tough physically, and he is mentally very fit. Although asserting that he should really quit while ahead, he still runs regularly and has recently completed the Portsmouth (UK) Marathon and the Hong Kong Half.
Tony is available for online tuition to students anywhere in the world. Find out more about online tuition.
